Word of Mouth is a near-future dystopian comedy about a nefarious marketing app that rewards users for promoting products and services in conversation. Businesses use Word of Mouth to hire contractors called “Mouthers” to promote their products and services through word-of-mouth marketing. Mouthers are fed suggested lines to use “organically” in their day-to-day exchanges. Upon delivery of the recommendation, Mouthers are awarded WOM coins which can be converted to real money.
